My Story

Acupuncture, Physiotherapy, Herbs and Guided Meditation techniques

I literally was born and raised under the East Los Angeles Interchange. If you are familiar with the area, It is very urban and the air quality back in the 60s was highly polluted. I was constantly sick until high school where I attempted to distract myself with socializing and music. 

I intended to be a band director or session musician specializing in woodwinds, but by 23 I developed asthma. Due to the asthma, I had to drop out of CSLA my Junior year and figure out how to acclimate to this illness.

By 1993, I was able to convince a mentor to sell me her herb supply store in Whittier, Ca. It was named Enchanted Herbs and it was truly the beginning of my real education. It was here i built up a library of alternative health resources for the public who also prefer herbal medicine over pharmaceuticals.

In 1997, I obtained my Massage Certification at the Nova Institute. My practice outgrew the store which led me to sell it and use the proceeds to invest in my education for acupuncture. By 2005 i graduated from Emperor's College of TOM with my Masters and passed Ca Board Exam the following year.

in 2019 I obtained my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of TOM. 

My specialty is the service in general. Acupuncture has been known to treat many symptoms without over analyzing the causes. We find that clusters of symptoms give us opportunity to treat every patient differently. The medicine is founded on the Philosophy known as Tao. 1 aspect I like using as an example of Tao to describe is "Our body has it's own self healing ability. All I am doing is facilitating the process."

I have been in network with several health insurance companies since 2006. This also includes Medicare and offer discounts to Seniors, Veterans and local La Habrans.
